Our Philosophy
There is a word in old Persian for the kind of person this house was built for. The Rend. A free man who refused the official world without becoming a cynic. A saint who looked like a sinner, a poet who looked like a thief. The disguise was the point.
The Rend is not a rebel for rebellion’s sake. He is someone who has seen the theatre and walked offstage, still smiling, still alive, still in love with the world despite everything it pretended to be. Creativity & Chaos is built in his spirit.
Khayyam gives the house its cadence. The bird of life is flying. None of us know when it will land. The rose will be gone by morning. The cup is in your hand. That urgency runs through every release: make it now, make it real, do not wait for conditions to be perfect.
The house is built on the thinking of eight figures across nine centuries. Hafez of Shiraz. Omar Khayyam. Albert Camus. Sadegh Hedayat. Fyodor Dostoevsky. Friedrich Nietzsche. Charles Bukowski. Yohji Yamamoto. They disagreed on almost everything. They all refused to pretend.
We believe one object that lasts a decade is worth more than ten you forget by next season. We believe the meeting place between order and chaos is the only place worth living. We believe beauty without something at stake is just decoration.
No face on the homepage. The work is the face.
“The bird of life is flying. None of us know when it will land, or where. The rose will be gone by morning. The cup is in your hand.” — Omar Khayyam, c. 1100
